Drilling fluids processing equipment shear pump

In drilling fluid solids control system, shear pump can shear polymer and clay in the drilling fluid, which then enter into circulating tank and accept the next process to change the present status of drilling fluid and improve the performance in compliance with the request of oil drilling. Once drilling fluid can’t be fully sheared, polymer maybe block shaker screen in first circulation to lose large polymer, increase drilling cost and make the large size solid phase particles hard and difficult to eliminate.

Shear pump is used to effectively mix and hydrate material added into drilling fluid. With large capacity, high lift, and long reliable service life, the shear pump can speed up dilution and hydration of polymers to have property mud.

The shear pump is composed by impeller, volute, support, packing case, transmission shaft, pulley, combination belt and electric generator. The impeller of the shear pump is different with the water pump, the structure is more complex. It is the core part of the shear pump, with high efficiency.

The impeller is made up by 5 parts: axial compressor turbine, stock solution tank, pump impeller, pressure cabin and shear plate. The axial compressor turbine, pump impeller and stock solution tank were casted critically as a ensemble by stainless steel, the structure is very compact.

Besides, in whole drilling mud solids control system, decanter centrifuge also plays an important role. Decanter Centrifuge is used to separate suspended solids ≥2μm in diameter and treat the drilling mud and fluids. It is especially effective when used in oilfield service industry, industrial service industry and especially in environmentally sensitive areas. This type of centrifuge is high in recovery rate, effective in solids control and remarkable in the reduction of cost spent on drilling mud resupplying and management. It is a very sophiscated dynamic balancing machine, able to operate stably with the whirling speed ranging from 0 to 3900 and generate centrifugal force of 3000G.
